Welcome to Lipper FMI

Welcome to the source of independent authoritative data and analysis on Europe's mutual fund markets.

October in Brief

Redemptions across Europe accelerate to €154bn in October, leaving Europe with a net sales loss of €320bn for the year.

Bond and money market funds prove to be the most vulnerable, producing combined redemptions of nearly €100bn with bonds accounting for 58%.

Steep falls across all European bourses fuel a further €22bn from equity funds — serious but a result that compared well against January's €58bn exodus.

Group with the strongest net flows was Barclays with inflows of €1.8bn, thanks again to ETF support

Group with the strongest equity net flows (exc ETFs) was French group Natixis with €905m

To understand this and much more, get the Asian Fund Market Almanac 2008 — essential reading for fund managers with Asian ambitions. This comprehensive roadmap will help you navigate Asia’s rich and varied landscape from China’s closed and underdeveloped fund market to Taiwan’s where offshore funds dominate.
